This post shall talk about what vignetting means and then discuss the performance of the Nikon 28mm 2.8 lens with respect to this phenomenon. Vignetting refers to a reduction in brightness of an image at the corners when compared to the centre of the image. This can be caused due to the optical limitations of a lens, although there are other causes as well. Sometimes, professional photographers purposely introduce vignetting in an image to make the viewer focus on the centre of the image only. Vignetting in a lens is caused when the lens has multiple optical elements and is often more prominent in wider apertures. This is the case with this lens as well and the vignetting is very visible at the widest aperture, which in this case is f/2.8. When you use the lens at f/4 and above then this problem is almost absent and can be ignored.
For your Commercial photography needs, Keith Hern is the man for the job. Photography is not as simple as pointing and shooting images. It requires a skill to look at interesting and new perspectives and the ability to fit the whole images at the right place and angle inside a rectangular box. Taking pictures means placing an invisible border on picturesque views. Point and shoot photography can be fun sometimes especially when you are in a party with friends and the last thing you worry about is how to get the best angle for the group picture. When you are with your friends, it does not matter how good the perspective of the shot is as long as you and your friends are visible in the picture. With the DSLR or Digital single lens reflex cameras going mainstream fast, there has been an increase in numbers of students enrolling in photography classes.
An art projector is not hard to use because you just have to follow a few easy steps. You will be able to use the projector even if you are not an accomplished artist. First, simply place the original picture in the copy area of the projector. The original picture is the picture you want to paint. Second, enlarge the image by changing the projection distance. You can adjust the image size all you want as long as the size is just right for the canvas. Last, adjust the lens to sharpen focus. After that, you can trace around the outline to be able to draw as much detail as you need. You must know how to use an art projector so that you will have a fun time painting the picture. The projector definitely has a lot of benefits and if you know how to use it then you will know them.

When my daughter broke the news to me that she was engaged, I could not have been more happy for her. And one thing that I really wanted to try to do for her was make some of her wedding plans. After all, I remembered just how stressful it could be to try and make wedding plans before when I got married and so I did not want my daughter to have to deal with all of that on her own. One of the things I told her I was going to take care of was finding her a great wedding photographer London. I spent a lot of time searching for the best one for her. I wanted her to be able to remember her wedding through beautiful photos. So when I came across the GM Studio website, I knew that I had found exactly what she was looking for.

The World of the Port Macquarie Wedding Photographer
0 Comments | Posted by admin in Photography
To become a Port Macquarie wedding photographer, you have to not only have an interest in photography, but be good at it. After all, who wants to hire a wedding photographer that is terrible at what they do? A wedding is supposed to be a special day, not one which is remembered by pictures with a large amount of glare and bad photo angles. Many photographers go to college and study the trade of photography. There are various photography programs at universities and community colleges around the country. These are often quite popular, and can be difficult to get into as a result. There may be a waiting list for some photography classes. The allure of photography is strong for some people, so they pursue it as not only a profession, but a hobby as well. Some people have an interest in photography for many years, and they want to turn it into a career.
There are two types of soapstone art: sculptures carved by Inuit artists of Canada and those made by non aboriginal carvers. Obviously, Inuit soapstone carvings are much more valuable and hard to get than the art made by non aboriginal artists. There are many reasons why Inuit art is so pricy. Also there are many factors that determine the value of an Inuit sculpture, such as its size, subject, artist, details, polish, type of stone and many more.
Almost anybody can carve a soapstone, it is quite easy to carve this stone, because it is soft enough to be cut even with a regular knife. However, although Inuit soapstone sculptures are called so, they are not actually carved out of a soapstone (excluding some areas of northern Quebec). The stone used in Inuit art depends on the community of its origin. For example, the majority of Inuit carvings produced in Cape Dorset are carved out of a hard stone called serpentine, sometimes marble. Both serpentine and marble can not be carved with a regular knife, they are too hard for that.
Inuit artists from another famous Inuit community Sanikiluaq use other stone called argillite in their art. Argillite is also a hard rock and not that easy to work with. Once carved argillite can be polished to almost a mirror shine and that is the reason why Sanikiluaq Inuit carvings are so popular among Inuit art collectors and tourists. Most Inuit art galleries try to have a few Inuit art pieces from Sanikiluaq, although it is quite complicated to acquire carvings from this Inuit community as opposed to Cape Dorset. Cape Dorset Inuit artists produce much more sculptures than carvers from Sanikilauq.
Another reason why Inuit soapstone carvings are expensive is simply because the supply is very limited. There are only so many Inuit people in Canada and not all of them are carvers. Many collectors and tourists would like to have a beautiful Inuit sculpture but there are not enough sculptures to meet the demand.
The most popular type of Inuit soapstone sculptures is bears, especially dancing ones. They can be portrayed in different poses, such as walking, standing, diving and dancing. Both dancing and diving bears should be perfectly balanced on only one of its paws: a front one if it is a diving bear, and a rear one if it is a dancing bear. Some artists are capable of carving polar bear that can both dance and dive, that require a certain carving experience and skills. Since dancing bears are the most popular subject in Inuit art, they are usually a little bit more expensive than for example a walking or standing polar bear Inuit soapstone sculpture.

Why in My Opinion Graffiti is Urban Art and Not Vandalism
0 Comments | Posted by admin in Photography
From Banksy art to tagging, graffiti provokes both positive and negative responses. When I was in high school thirty years ago, we were assigned a project that was to be about art. The subject I chose was graffiti, ghetto art. I noticed back then, that graffiti was not simply some fool painting images in improper or unauthorized place. My opinion back then was that was the social expression of frustrated artists that were making statements and were struggling to be heard. I often noticed that images would appear overnight and wondered very often, how the heck they could be done so quickly. The variety of pictures in some urban areas to me were not only interesting, but beautiful in most respects. My opinion of graffiti has not changed. Where most people consider it vandalism, I still consider it art, urban. Most often these works of art are created on public or municipal property. To me they are impromptu murals painted out of the frustration and desparation of the artist to express his socio-political views. The intent is what distinquishes urban art written on the walls for public display from vandalism which is a display of foul words or random spray painting of public signs and buildings. It is not violent, it is well drawn or constructed. It can be compared to a sculptor building elaborate works of art out of the sand on the beach. The realism that many graffiti artists portray in their work is often amazing. They send clear messages artfully drawn with vivid colors.
